Vibrato: 3 Opera Soloists






/    CHALLENGE

Develop a typographic series of three posters for an exhibition that highlights the unique talents and societal impacts of three opera soloists. The series should have an effective visual design system that seeks to unify different components yet instill excitement. 


/    CONCEPT

Marian Anderson, Fairuz, and Andrea Bocelli were all renowned vocalists. Though they come from different backgrounds, they used their talents to inspire people and make significant contributions to the world. The three of them garnered international acclaim and have left a lasting legacy on their respective regions.

I decided to go with this concept direction because I felt it best reflected the style of each artists’ fluidity and control they have with their voice. The display text is mimics a measure’s structure in written music. The colors were chosen to represent each vocalist.
